Default Moaning noise

My '01 S4 is starting to sound like a cow. When accelerating from a stoplight (rationally, not drag strip) I am hearing a moan from the front of the car - you can almost feel it through the gas pedal. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to matter if it is hot or cold.

So it's a vibration as well or mostly a sound, when does it stop?

So you haven't actually run over anyone, who you are dragging under the car, right? :-P

Could be a whooshing sound of a torn TBB or f-hose? Ask someone more experienced.

Your exhaust may be rubbing something.

Default No whoosh just groan. Stops by the time you rev the engine up -

or maybe you just can't hear it then? I can hear a faint bit during acceleration at slow speeds now, as well. This is all in a straight line - no turns. But, it does remind me of power steering pump noises.

It isn't so much a vibration as the feel of a low frequency noise being conducted through the pedal. (I hope that doesn't sound too strange - I drive barefoot alot).

Not particularly metallic, though? the exhaust was just recently returned to stock.

Default Probably a brake pad dragging. I get that with my stoptechs from time to time.

Rebedding the pads usually helps it. But thats the symptom I had -- load groan under coasting or light acceleration, you could almost feel it through the pedals.

Try tapping the brakes with your left foot when its happening, see if it stops.
