I'm very unhappy when my oil is cold, and very happy when its warm . I have this guy at work in an M5 who always tries to race me leaving work, and I always tell him oil is cold, sorry. He thinks I'm just a big pansy .

Well I'd lose anyway, but since Stage 2 is right around the corner, I need to get an oil warmer or something ha ha.

Default ugh, tell me about it. leaving work when the car sits out in sub zero temps all day......

VERY VERY HARD TO MERGE ONTO THE FREEWAY RIGHT AWAY. capslock doesn't express my pain. lol. usually takes like 4-5miles before that damn oil needle moves.

Default Yah, mine doesn't even get warm on my 15 minute commute :(

I'm actually really looking into some sort of oil pain warmer I can plug into the wall - something with a clean install. Would it be bad for the oil to be warm 24-7?

Use a stick on pan warmer. Probably wont get the oil hot enough but it may help some.

Default doh. not at all actually. dude, if you find a warmer, let me know. i need to wrap my trans too.

pulling out when it's -10 deg out.....trans makes some weird shot bearing noise before it warms up. i think it's starting to die

and yeah, i bet if you could even get it to like 50degF all day long, that's awesome. no worries about damaging the oil one bit.

Default Here you go sir

The hook and spring one would work good for transmissions. While the 500 watter should be perfect sized for our oil pans.<ul><li><a href="http://store.summitracing.com/product.asp?d=12&amp;s=175&amp;p=1027&amp;searchty pe=ecat">Heating pads by moroso.</a></li></ul>

I think 500 watt output one would fry him like the strip of bacon he is.
