yes they are doing the tuning the right way, they say screw.....
getting the fastest lancer right now. they want to max out on the stock components and most importantly the stock turbo. This way people that dont wanna upgrade the turbo know what they can run on the stock stuff.

I live about 25mins from Pruven....and talked to them about this....
Dan, the owner said that in order to get an EVO trapping around 114-116mph (stage 3 territory), you'll need to spend bucks...not this 3K you people are talking about. The EVO has an ET advantage if we're talking 1/4 times cause its much lighter and will get off the line quicker. In a highway pull with a FAST EVO, it'll just depend on how high you go...EVO's pull well in the first 4 gears, but 5th is much taller than the rest...so once he shifts into 5th a STG 3 might pull.
I think pushing that big 16G hard enough to run these trap speeds is a ticking time bomb....a good starting point to building a fast EVO is starting with HKS's kit and that runs around 5500.
GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE...once you price everything to get it running to the point where its worth living with that CIVIC interior...you've spent much more than your now thinking you would.

Why's everyone gotta hate on japanese cars. They're not my cup of tea but I have respect for the nice ones (skylines, evo's, sti's, rx7's, supras). Heck I'm even asian and I'll say that a honda civic with a coffee can exhaust, stickers, different rims front and back, and lowered is 'rice'. But hating on cars that actually have ***** is another thing. Just my $.02
