Default Motherf^ing oil filter won't come off even with a oil filter plier...WTF?!

I'm trying to twist it off (counter clockwise...) as hard as freakin possible with the oil filter plier and it isn't budging a bit. What the hell? Is there something i'm missing?

Default I just got it off with the plier...JESUS I think I applied 150 pounds of torque on it...question:

What is that screwdriver technique you're speaking of?

Stab screw driver through it horizontally... use handle and end of screwdriver like a T-drive

Default Yeah, mine was like that for some reason last time also. And I only

hand tighten mine. Be careful though as to not tweak those two hoses going into the stock oil cooler as your wrenchin' on the filter. As they will leak if tweaked too much. The cooler should be sitting on that little tab as I'm sure you know.

That's the reason why you NEVER let anyone else do your oil changes.

Default Oil filter plier? Try Sears universal oil filter WRENCH attachment. Use it with a big-*** torque

wrench to get maximum leverage. If your wrench is long enough, you'll be able to stomp on it with your foot. I'm sure that'll do the trick.

Default Make sure you didn't twist the oil cooler/heat exchanger.....

check where the coolant hoses go into it, if it's twisted, they'll be pressed up against the hard coolant line, and can cause a leak. If your filter was that tight, chances are you did twist it...

I don't mean to undermine anyone, but it helps if you put a lube of some sort on the oil filter prior to install. Most DIYers would just use some of the old oil.
