Default Motor Oils, I am leaning towards Castrol...

So I have been looking at Red Line, Royal Purple, Mobil 1, and Castrol Syntec. Mostly due to availability and price, I am leaning towards Syntec 5-40 for street and 5-50 for track use.

But before I buy, I would like to hear your opinions.

Default German Castrol 0w30 w/ oil cooler is great, I ran Castrol TWS 10w60 prior which was great...

...hated Mobil 1 0w30

Redline 5w30 was ok, but needed an oil cooler to be sufficient.

I'd probably also consider Mobil 1 T&SUV 5w40 but only if I couldn't get German Castrol 0w30.

Default sorry, Mobil 1 0w30 = tons a valve tick and high temps on track...

..the redline 5w30 did much better on teh valve tick, but still had high temps on track.

Default Ok, I remember the German vs. Syntec fiasco. But I though that Castrol fixed that, and the US stuff

I understand that if you get BMW oil it was the European Castrol. So I still need to do that to get the good stuff?

Opinions on Syntec 5W50 for track use? I may or may not have OCK by then.

M1 0W40 for street and track. Proven results.
