Multiple coil pack failures on same cylinder

Hey Guys, I searched the archive but couldn't find any answer..... I was having misfires in cylinder 1. Replaced coil pack, left in plug (about 15K miles on it). Problem went away. One month later... same problem. So I replaced the coil pack again tonight and the problem is gone again. Any idea what could cause two coil packs to go bad? Fouled plug? Why would a brand new one work only to fail in a few hundred miles?
Thanks for any insight!

also could be a injector. are you on stock injectors and software, stage 3?
how does the plug look?
when does the misfires happen?idle?WOT?
here is a pic of the ignition amps. swap the brown connectors with the black ones.

I think there is a pretty good chance that the first new coil pack I put in was just a bad part. Since I have no misfires currently (and am on the second new coil pack on cylinder 1) I'm going to take the one month old coil pack that started to fail and put it into cylinder 5. If I immediately start getting misfires again, then at least I'll know that the 1 month old coil pack is definitely bad. If I don't I suppose that will mean that there is something else going on with cylinder 1.
If it was the ignition amps, wouldn't I see misfires on 1-2-3, not just 1?
Thanks
Evan
