Default Multiple Cylinder Misfire + CEL-HELP

I am getting a CEL (P300) indicating multiple cylinder misfires, but the car is running like a top. No hesitation, no loss of power. The CEL blinks at highway speeds and stays on. I have cleared the code and it returns.

I just got the car back from doing the timing belt service and water pump and pulley replacement. New filters, plugs, etc.

All help greatly appreciated.

I just had both bov's tested and replaced and no noticable boost leak. Any other thoughts?

Well, if there for sure isn't a boost leak. There are alot more place than DVs/BPVs to leak from.. Are the missfires random across one bank? Both banks?

I will be running a vag-com tonight for more specific information. Right now I just see the P300 error from a hand held scanner.

I have run the vag and found a few more specific errors:

It appears in addition to the P300 multiple cylinder misfires, I have specific misfires on cyls 3, 4, 5. No other errors present.

Since the plugs were just changed as part of the water pump service, are there any other suspects that I should be investigating.

Thanks

Also, had the MAF cleaned as part of this service.

try swapping the number 2 coil with number 5 and see if it follows, These two will probably be the easiest to swap (most accessible). If that leads you no where try swapping the same two injectors. Let us know of your results.

BTW what kind of plugs were put in?

you could also try swapping the harnesses for your ignition control modules (ICM's) on top of your intake and seeing if you get the same misfires except on the opposite banks, it would become cylinders 1,2, and 6
