Is the bottom of your airbox cut? Are you runing a K&N panel or paper filter?
I originally thought the noise was compressor surge, but can't come to any resolve other than I probably got a ****ty set of turbos too.

I have 3 holes cut with screens (sink strainers) - running the stock paper filter
not sure what to check on that noise ... have you ruled out exhaust leaks? Good luck finding it - hope the turbos are OK. I assume you have plain jane K04s?
