Default utterly seconded. I ran 22psi on OEM K04's up here and after 8 months...

they were freaking destroyed as you know.

I imagine Josh has contributed much more to the S4 community than you. I'd probably bet money on it.

Default I think a 22 psi spike would be fine with it trailing down to 20 by red line. I know people like

Nick are running to a 24 psi and I think Josh runs to a 22 psi spike and have had no issues. Are you sure your K04s you had weren't somewhat bad? I thought you were pushing them to 24 psi at one point which I agree is probably over the top but I think 22 would be okay.

Default I didn't say it was a good idea to run >22 psi. I said 22 psi spike

with it leveling off to 20 psi throughout much of the RPM range. I haven't looked at the compressor maps and calculated where that would be as far as efficiency for the K04s. I'm just going by what others have experienced. I will do those calculations before buying K04s. If from that, I can't safely run a 22 psi down to 20, then I'm not buying K04s. I'll buy something beefier that can withstand higher boost at altitude. Hopefully this TIAL kit that WMS is working on will pan out. If not, then VAST's RS6 kit. That sucks you had issues with your K04s but I really think you abused them with your extreme tune at 24 psi and they may not have been 100% when you installed them. I forget if you had them rebuilt or not and by whom.

Default Remember octane is lower at altitude, so your 91 is equivalent to 93, not Cali 91. I believe the

rationale is less oxygen, less octane required.
