weekend, which should bring him to about 215hp and 250lb/ft. you guys think he would own me if we went from a roll? i cant imagine me beating him considering my car weighs 3700 freakin pounds and only has 35 more hp! thanks guys

Default Actually its closer to 2900-3000 lbs without driver. If your buddy is a bigger guy it should be a

drivers race. If you were chipped you'd have no problems.

Default neh hes not big at all... could someone please remind me of recommended shift points for stock ECU.

i shift at 6500 for every gear right now. am i slowing myself down? i figured since the KO3s die out by redline, and our cars have more hp than torque, it would be better to shift a little before redline.. TIA!

Default It would be close. From a dig you'd kill him because of AWD v. 2WD but...

from a roll would be closer. Probably a driver's gamble.

I haven't run any GTI's in person so I'm not the one to answer but but based on their numbers (low 14s @100mph with the 215hp setup) in the quarter, it looks pretty similar to a stock S4.

Default raced the same exact car when i was stock....

gti 337 with apr chip. We race from a roll and i pulled about a half car length before we had to shut down. I highly suggest you get a chip and blow his doors off At least thats what it did.

Default My friend has one, weighs over 3000 with him in it. He's about a 175lbs guy.

We raced from a 2nd gear roll when I was stock. He has a chip, exhaust, intake...he would immediately pull 1/2 car when in 2nd, but by the end of 3rd I would catch up and almost put 1/2 car on him.

If we went from a stand still I would have got him easily by 1-1.5 cars at around 80-90mph.

I haven't raced him now that i'm chipped...i'm sure it'd be ugly.

Default Keep in mind your stock torque curve is artificially flat while his chipped one will have a peak.

250 ft-lbs torque on a stock S4 is not the same as 250 ft-lbs torque on a chipped 1.8T. It's area under the curve that counts.
