From a roll at highways speeds
I was about dead even with one (we started around 75 or so). He got the jump, and I started slowly catching up, but had to shut down around 120 because of a large truck in my way.. With the lighter weight and good pull up top, they move pretty well. I am sure it would be a different story from a dead stop. I was chipped, no other go fast mods.

if you're stock, you'll have trouble from a punch at speed.
my buddy just got an apr 93 octane chip- 1.8T, 04 jetta. first night he had it, i killed him from a dead stop (of course), but pulled a little from a roll.
a week later, we were dead even. with a gti, you'll have some problems from a roll.
