My car is taking about 5 seconds extra to crank to start, any ideas?

It's not a nice clean on, it's taking it's time starting up. Too lazy to STFA this morning, thanks.

I would say check the battery to make sure you are getting all the amps at start up.

Default Next time, before you start it, sit there with the key on for 30-60 seconds...

...if, after that wait, it starts right up, it could be your fuel pressure regulator or a check valve. At least that's what the learned ones told me when mine was taking a second (although not 5 seconds) to start. I never did anything to fix it, but it seems better now.

It's not so much a TBA as allowing the fuel system to pressurize.

Default same **** is happening to my S4...

it seems when i dont drive the car for a few days and then start it up, it takes an extra 5 seconds or so to crank and start up...

its wierd. if the car has been running every day, it starts fine usually. i want to know why its happening too.

i'll probably do a TBA today to see if that fixes the problem...
