My car thinks the driver door is always open. Just started at lunch time today...
This morning it didn't do this on the way to work. But now it just bongs that the door is open and shows that the driver door is open on the LCD.
I don't see a contact on the door to fiddle with either. Very annoying.
Plus I can't turn on the alarm when it thinks the door is open.
The car was parked in a heavy rain storm last night, could be moisture... but I'd think I would have see the issue this morning right away, then?
Anyone have a starting point for me to fix this?
THANKS.

used this as a reference:

shot some contact cleaner in my door mech, slammed it a couple times to get it working. you'll want to apply some lube to the mech after the contact cleaner evaporates.
