Default There are vents and other access holes open along the sides/back of the bellhousing.

None are very large but anything liquid could find its way in pretty easily - especially with all the fluid lines on the top/rear of the 2.7tt(oil, coolant, clutch/brake - all in the bellhousing vicinity).

Default Didn't you replace the slave cylinder once already?

If so, that really sucks to get a bad part like that.

I bet your glad to have finally solved the problem though

Default Yeah, I had a leaking clutch slave cylinder that dripped into the housing.

Before it was fixed, the clutch would slip occasionally when starting from a stop.

Default Organic linings are not happy with any leaks either. Metalic

linings like the Spec 3 would likely just burn them off as longs as you did not over heat them too bad.

Jeff would you recommend the Spec S3 vs S2 for a "shelf kit" S3 turbo upgrade?

Default Hi Hal, If you are not a crazy drag racer get the 2. It holds the power and drive IMO better

than stock.

With the 3 it is a Mettalic lining with no Marcel spring. Although it drives well with a heavy stock flywheel the engagement is over a fairly narrow range of motion.

Default I just put a Spec 3 clutch/pressure plate on my car, hold god does it grab...

I love it, I have the stock chip in now (you know the whole dealer thing, trans replacement, etc... hahaa). The clutch grabs like crazy, it will take some time to get use to, but coming from my other car (before I sold it) a turbo vr with a unsprung 4 puck, its a treat. I don't think many people would really enjoy this clutch if they don't plan on putting some serious power down later. It is almost like an "engaged" or not "engaged" type feel. IMO
