My conscience was screaming to me "No, don't do it, don't use third gear"
I was stop-n-go crawling up the 610 North exit ramp from 59 this morning when as we were just about at the point where both exit lanes must merge into one for the ramp (hence the stop-n-go crawl), these 2 rednecks in a mural-enhanced pickup next to and slightly in front of me abruptly and completely change lanes all of the over (not just moving to the middle of both lanes) to in front of me to let me know that they're going in front of me, no ifs ands or buts about it, which was completely unneccessary since I wasn't planning on passing them anyhow since it would have been quite rude. So I'm behind them now, thinking what jerks these guys must be. As we accelerate up the ramp and then down the ramp again as it comes close to making the connection with 610 north, we're moving pretty well (45mph by now) and I'm thinking I'm going to blow these guys off as soon as we merge again. I realize I'm in third gear and decide that that is the appropriate weapon for this occasion. As we creep up to 50mph, my conscience is repeatedly screaming at me "No, don't do it, don't use third gear on them, they knoweth not what they hath done." This just got me laughing and put that ear-to-ear grin on my face, and as luck would have it, it was time to merge, and the lane to my left was open so I floored it, two carlengths further ahead the next left lane was open so I stayed on the hammer and then finally another two carlengths further ahead the far left lane was open for hundreds of yards so the hammer was on and before I knew it I was doing 90. I looked over at my conscience, and he too had that ****-eating grin, whereupon he said, "OK, that was fun. We can do that again." I just hope the next time, I don't blow a TBB since that was where I first noticed it when I blew my last one last week.

Man, how many TBB have you gone through? I hope they changed the design for 2001!

I'm on #4. You should order a couple right now and keep them on hand.
That way when you get your chip you won't have to worry about it too much.
