Default My headlight is crooked!

I searched the archives, but couldn't find anything about this specific problem.

My driver's side headlight is tilted. It's not misaimed, but rather tilted counter-clockwise (from driver's point of view). To put it another way, the cutoff line rises as it goes to the right.

Anyone seen this and know how to fix it?

Default Is the beam otherwise level with the other headlight?

My new headlights have one side "zig" up in the middle, and the other "zag" up, that is, the diagonal in the middle of the beam angles to the left on one side, and to the right on the other.

I assume this is normal variation, it causes no problems.

Yeah, it's just like the thing is rotated slighly. Left is low, middle is center, right is high.

Default I should specify: I am NOT describing the "zig-zag" built into the beam. That's still there...

Just rotated a bit.

Default Look inside:

to be as clear as possible w/ascii graphics, one of my headlamps has this pattern:

_________/--------

where the other one has:

_________\--------

Somewhat exaggerated in the ascii version, but you get the idea.

Is this what you mean? I do not think this is a problem.

Default Uh, isn't that the way Euro headlights work?

Unless I am misunderstanding you, you're describing the correct configuration. The driver's side headlight is lower so as not to offend oncoming traffic. The right side has a gradually increasing slope so you have better corner visibility.

I believe they have to have this configuration with the Xenon lights.

Is the bottom pattern similar to what you're trying to describe?

Take the round cover off, and make sure the bulb isn't cocked or not secured right.

Default Here's what it looks like....

This is basically what the lines at the top of my two lights look like. It was not always this way.

Looks like something broke inside the housing, a pivot point perhaps.
