My life with the EPC light on
So as you may know my car had a little electrical fire that took out my ecu and cruise control, controls. I ended up replacing the ecu but I'm having trouble with the throttle. The EPC light is on and I only 32.5% of the throttle.
Well I had to get the car up to my dad's shop which is about ten miles away today. Well it was an embarrassing moment for me I was passed by a ford windstar and a Saturn...what a sad day.
Unfortunately the day just got worse. I replaced the throttle pedal in hopes that it would fix the problem, but it did nothing
So I have a used throttle body that's going to be coming in Friday, I hope this fixes the problem...if it doesn't I'm kind of **** out of luck...does anyone have any suggestions of what else to check out?

does your car run perfectly fine with it on?
when my epc light came on intermittently, my car ran perfectly fine, and was not thrown into limp mode when it appeard. I searched the forum for a while and found that someone recoded something with vagcom. I tried that and my epc never came back on... I forgot what exactly I recoded but Ill see if I can dig it up.

I keep getting these codes even after the new throttle pedal
18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal
18042 P1634 Accelera.Pedal Pos.Sensor 2 Signal too High
These codes didn't go away when I replaced the throttle pedal assembly either...

Sounds like a wiring issue. You probably have to trace the harness...
for the EPC circuit, and make sure all the wires are ok. As your fault codes refer only to the pedal, changing the throttle body might not be the most cost effective thing to do. Good luck, wiring issues can be a PITA.

what codes does it give?
My buddy had the same problem in his s4 same thing no power, it gave codes for throttle angle sensors, replaced the throtle body, dealer wanted $2000 dollars for it, found one on car parts for 150, car runs perfect now. Hope this helps
