Default Is my throttle body valve supposed to stay slightly open when the car is off.........

For the last two weeks my car hasnet been holding its RPM's. So i figured my TB needed a cleaning i took the boot off this past weekend and used simple green to clean the inside. Once i was finshed I took my finger off the valve and it went to the closed position. I bent down and looked at it and it hadent closed all the way. It was still a 1/2 of a 1/4 inch open. I know its supposed to be closed all the way but why isnt it? Do i need to go in there witha vag and re set the code or what? Thanks. BTW.. after the cleaning my car still isnt holding it's RPM's?

Default Have you done a throttle body alignment with VAG? and what do you mena holding RPMs?

Do you mean that it is idling higher than normal?

Default no throttle alignment......

No, it idles just fine. i ment while im driving. I';m doin 50 mph and when i let off the throttle the rpms sit at 900 RPM's right below 1,000 rpm's, as im still cruising at 50mph. When i first drive (first 5 mintues) the car is fine it holds its rpm's then it stops holding them. I thnik this might be a realted to my blown head gasket.
