In '03 I had the same experience as you...sort of.
I came back looking for a diesel after driving a 1.9TDI Avant. I loved it! It did 230kph or so and had good grunt. Ironic that the search for and Audi TDI led me to the S4 and for that I guess I can be thankful and poor.

I had the same experience with A6 TDI May 2005. It had winter tires with speed limit 210kph in May!!

nice! German Car **** everywhere....it was great! and I love the way the germans drive on the...
autobahn. If you are in the passing lane, you pass, get it over with and move right. The way it should be =)

Frankfurt - we were staying in Mainz one week before Carnival
The town was getting ready for the biggest keg party peaking on Mardi Gras.
Even the hotel (Hilton Mainz), had emptied out all their nice furniture in the lobby, and replaced with kegs & picnic benches.
