My water temp gauge ALWAYS reads exactly in the middle. Never seen it anywhere else...

It looks like the gauge is disconnected... Anyone ever see this on their cars?

I've gotten the water temp gauge up a smidge over middle in hot weather, and at the track.
I wouldn't worry about your gauge being disconnected.<p>Sharon

Seems like a pretty good sign to me (assuming gauge is accurate) indicating good stable cooling system.
Of course, if you're saying it really _never_ (even when cold) reads anything other than center then I think that you have a gauge problem.

I've had a faulty coolant sensor and the needle moved all over the place. It's normal for the needle to just about always read in the middle.
