My X-1 intake is reading lower peak values (247g/s vs 286g/s). Can anyone tell me why?

I was just reading DAP's post below and I have the same situation...lower readings with the X-1 intake. I also changed my MAF to AWE's, now call me crazy but I though I would get "better" airflow with the X-1 intake and larger MAF.
Can anyone explain this to me?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2404732.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2404732.phtml</a></li></ul>

Even with the same MAF housing, the airbox/intake configuration can dramatically affect MAF readings.
I wouldn't advise running an intake that your car isn't tuned for.

ASAMOF, the car had been running rich instead of lean but that has been taken care of. My questions comes out of "tuning" curiosity only.
