NASA - w.r.t. your 0-60 estimate for chipped Tip, are they estimates or have you had timed runs?

the exact numbers are estimates based on some conversations and tests done by other posters. My stopwatch times un-chipped were 6.7 seconds 0-60 (you gotta figure a few 10ths error doing it that way) and chipped was 5.8 (the same conditions, same stopwatch, same road etc). If the car is doing 0-60 in 5.6 or so, it should do 14.2 in the quarter just by extrapolation. My estimate is probably .2 seconds one way or the other depending on conditions/driver etc.
I took it to the Pomona street drags but got there too late to get in (they had already filled the 500 slots)! I'm planning on going in August unless I have to do a race at Thunderhill then. I'll post ACTUAL 1/4 mile times as soon as I get them.
The car is ALOT faster chipped, especially once you hit 3rd gear. I still can't figure why the tip is so much slower than the 6-speed. The car is about 100lbs heavier and you can't rev past 2300rpm on launch. However, you can't get wheelspin and the shifts are at LEAST as fast (even stock) as a shift with the 6-speed. I can't believe the gear ratios are that far off, but maybe that's it. There is more rpm loss when shifting because you can't slip the clutch a little but a second!!?!?!
