Default NE1 using OEM throwout bearing with clutch kits like Spec or AWE? ATTN: JasonND

the bearing that came with my Spec2 clutch is a little different from OEM and <<may>>> have been the source of a promlem I was having with the clutch. I have my car apart right now and am considering putting it back together with a OEM bearing.

My question is would the through out bearing need to be more heavy duty when used with a stiffer pressure plate or would OEM be fine?

Default my spec 2 kit came with a "brand x" TO bearing that is a 3-4 mm thinner than...

-The slave cylinder plunger has to travel further out to make up for the thinner TO bearing

-my slave cylinder because the plastic end broke out.. conceivibly because the piston was slamming up against it.. have pictures..

-this explains the pedal vibration that I was experiencing afte about 1500 miles with my Spec2 kit. Everything worked fine until I removed my slave cylinder and the whole thing exploded because of the broken housing..

I noticed that ECS uses OEM TO bearings in thier kits. I am going to do the same when I put my car back together..

thanks a bunch Jeff. I appreciate the second opinion. I guess pedal feedback is normal with Spec2...
