What's up fellas....I have a B6 3.0 that will be going to the wife once her Altima lease is done, so I'm seriously considering buying a used B5 S4. Don't worry I won't bother you with the "which chip is best?" posts, I just want to know which specific build dates I should look at buying. From searches I've done, it looks like 2001.5 and up is what to look for, does that sound right? Any purchasing advice would be great, thanks! BTW, anyone have a > 2001.5 with low miles for sale

Other than that I would just use your common sense. Look for signs of clutch wear, make sure that the 1-2 shifts are smooth (6spd) since there have been some issues with the synchros.....

but be very cautious on selecting any used one as the mod kings may have beaten it to within an inch of its life. Try for an AUDI assured car which has a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty---available from AUDI dealers. good luck!

of course, the shifter change occured later, just to throw everyone off.

I have a 5/00 build 2001 model. I've had -0- (count them) problems with the car. I think I drive the car pretty hard.....
Again, no turbo troubles, no engine troubles, no tranny troubles....
but, I maintain my car, so that may be why...
