Need advice with Discount tire's road hazard warranty.....
Well, long story short. I hit a pothole on I75 in MI which caused my drivers side front tire to bubble out of the side. I bought the tires (Continental Extreme Contact 225/45/ZR17) about 11 months ago with the road hazard warranty. I went ahead and called discount tire and they informed me that they do not have them in stock and that it would take 3-5 days to get them in. My "good" tires have about 50% of the tread left... I know it's not good to run one new tire with the rest at 50%, so... Has anyone had a dealing with them similar to this that had all four replaced? I am not looking for 4 free tires, simply what kind of agreement did you come to with them.

Similar story: SO-3s (w/ Discount Tires "replacement/road hazzard"
certificates). Blew out (hell...shredded) a SO-3. The replacement certificate "paid" the FULL list price of the tire, not Discount Tire's price. My other 3 rather worn SO-3s were allowed a "remainaing milage" credit on their certificates. I applied all this to 4 new (235/40 x 18) Goodyear F1-GsD3 tires. Total cost with mounting, valve stems, balancing, replacement certificates (total almost $250), and Washington State sales tax (8.8%)was just over $480.
