Need advice for good location to install Lidatek LE-30 transponder with RS4 bumper...
I've STFA, seen sample photos and read write-ups for placing the unit behind the grille area. I'd like to attach it in a different location since (a) I'm worried that the jarring caused by opening an closing of the hood might affect the transponder's position if it is placed in behind the main grille and (b) my license plate sits very low on my RS4 bumper, so I'd like to get the transponder as close to the plate and main bumper cover facia as possible.
Here's a picture of where I'm thinking of installing the single transponder (I need to save up more $$$ before I can get a second transponder). I will likely pick the area highlighted in red on the driver's side as my first option.

I noticed that there aren't too many places behind the lower grille area where I can attach the transponder's brackets, since the RS4 bumper mounting areas behind the lower grill section are different from the stock bumper. If any of you have the RS4 bumper and have done a similar type of install please offer advice.
TIA.

Yes, but won't it sit too high from where my license plate is currently located? How about ...
movement after you slam the hood close? Have you had to adjust the transponder at all over time because of the jarring?

What state are you in, are radar (laser) jammers legal in your state?
I am in CA and if a cop here suspects that I have one he has the right to search my car. So I am still trying to find a way to install it that the cop can not find it.

Federal level, radar detectors legal, radar jammers illegal (under FCC jurisdiction), laser jammers
legal (under FDA jurisdiction).
I know some states (VA, and another one out West?and all of Canada IIRC) laser detectors also illegal.

Mine hasn't fallen out of adjustment since I mounted it.
I replaced the foam tape once, but that was it. Otherwise, it's been trouble-free and it's worked very well. You get an 18 inch radius, so you should be fine there.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec93.shtml</a
