I remember going through this with my A4 and how hard it was to get straight answers. I hope somebody can help me.

I want to keep my stock head unit and add amp, new speakers and a sub. I have a competition quality amp (Zapco 360) and JL Audio component speakers from my '97 A4. I don't know what kind of sub I'll get, but that really isn't important.

Questions:

1) Does the head unit have pre-amps?
2) If so, then how many? (2 or 4)
3) If the head unit does have pre-amps, then are they used up by the CD-Changer or not?
