Anybody deal with Santa Barbara/Cutter/JonS(SteveS and Del any additional comments), Santa Ana/Commonwealth/April, BeverlyHills/DeanD or any other SoCal dealers that might deal on 01 S4 order?
Any comments or experiences with SoCal dealers would be helpful.

Jon Shafer is the BMW/Audi/Range Rover Sales Manager at Cutter Motors. He has sold several BMWs and Audis to my friends/coworkers. Dion and Del (aka "the Deer Hunter") have bought Audi S4s from him...I think Jason from LA bought an A4 from him. The Vice Chairman of the company I work for bought a BMW 540iA from Jon, another coworker bought at 528iA. In all instances the purchaser had an excellent buying experience....sometimes including a pick up at the airport in a new Range Rover.

April (aka verdegrrl) is an Audi Brand Specialist at Commonweath Audi in Santa Ana CA. She seems extremely helpful to those individuals on the A6/S6/Allroad forum. I cannot recall a name of anyone that bought from her...but I know there are several forum visitors that have. She is knowledgeable and seems to want to do a win-win deal with her customers. She seems very direct and fair. She also knows how to drive...I have been her passenger while on a track in a 260 bhp Audi A4 with K04 turbochargers.

I don't think you could go wrong with either...although you might have a slightly longer wait for an S4 thru April (based upon her comments on backlog levels)

I've bought two previous Audis, an A4 and a Coupe Quattro, from Commwealth. My current S4 is from Newport. I've been treated well at both. Matt Tupa at Newport was very good. I haven't dealth with April at Commonwealth, but I've heard nothing but good things about her.

Advantage in Loma Linda has a good service dept, but their sales dept. hurts. I had to cancel my order when they insisted that the color (pearl white) that I wanted did not exist in an S4. They didn't believe me until I drove up in the pearl white S4 I bought at Newport.

Circle Imports in Long Beach. They had 6 of them when I bought mine (2000 models)! I paid somewhat over MSRP and had to squeeze their ***** about the lease (as often happens, the finance guy made a "mistake" on the trade-in value), but the sales experience was plesant and my salesman was very nice and AMAZINGLY patient with my reluctant wife who bought an A4 a couple of weeks before I bought my S4. Ask for Kenny Jumps (yes, his real name). Of course, you'd be paying extra sales tax over buying it in SB. Also, there was a Jag Audi place in the boonies who would sell MSRP supposedly (I got impatient). They were 1-888-JAG-AUDI and were somewhere near Riverside.

Supposedly Circle gets first dibs off the boat so snatches up every S4 they can, that's why they had 6 when I went there. Your wait might be shorter than at any other dealer.

Advantage was the other place I mentioned (but could only remember phone #), had no actual experience with them

Bought 2 cars from them and getting my 2001 S4 later (3 total). So is my neighbor (4 total). Excellent service and low pressure sales (ask for Apollo at 949 673-0900). They did have a few cancelations on some Silver Tip S4 targeted late June delivery. May not be available any longer - then may be.
I've delt with Commonweath on several ocasions and know the sales person (not named here). Newport will sell at MSRP, not over and likely not under. e-mail me if you want more - or call me 949 498-3283

FWIW they are BIG Porsche, Bentley and Rolls dealers so you get to see lots of cool cars.

Beverly Hills Porsche/Audi. They had a Black S4 Tiptronic including Nav on the lot. I believe they sell em for sticker, tell em Joe Stuesser sent you if you call him. ( he'll hang up for sure!!! j/k). I bought a A6 2.7T 3 weeks ago from him and got a very good deal.
April is very good too at Santa Ana, very knowledgeable. Although their Service Department pissed me off some last week. Good luck.
