I just changed all of my brakes and rotors. Took the car for a test spin and the pedal hits the floor. I can pump them to a stop, but that's not safe. When does the feel come back or did I do something wrong. I lost a lot of brake fluid during the job but I topped it off. I think maybe some air got in the line, can that be the problem? Should I have a mechanic bleed/flush them properly or what?
Thanks

can cycle the ABS pump, and that is way beyond most of us driveway mechanics. If you bleed them yourself and still get some sponginess (sp?), then have it done by a mechanic that can cycle the ABS system to remove ALL the air in the system. Sorry to hear it; good luck!

tedious but cheap... bleed the brakes, go for a test drive where you engage the ABS several times, get the brakes warm, hit the ABS... then bleed again with warm brakes.

I have Mintex Reds all around, BBS Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors in the front and OEM in the rear. I watched the guy like a hawk, he was actually pretty cool and they let me supply the fluid too. I'll post some pics as soon as I get her clean :-)
