I even tried the old bolts but it wasn't going to happen. I retapped with an M12 1.5mm pitch tap (Is this the right size? Seemed like it). I tried the bolts again, but no dice. I've also noticed the following sequence:
It'll start off threading a little sloppy with some wiggle. Then it will get a little tighter until the point shown above (sorry, left side of pic is up toward top of the car).
Then it will just push through to the top and spin free.
Questions:
How is the threaded connection on the chassis side setup? Is it likely to be the culprit? If so what is a good option to repair?
Is it likely the bushing? If so, should I be able to helicoil it easily enough?
Is it just the bolt? I'm gonna stop by the dealer to get some more bolts to test.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone needs clarification let me know.
