otherwise it will never fit right, have different shading, different tint, and the mirror attachment thingy could be in the wrong place.
note also that the mirror may be in a different position if you have convenience/premium package. i believe some companies have a seperate P/N for that, but some do not.

In discussions with SAFELITE I found out the OEM glass is less likely to have distortions in the curved portions than the aftermarket because of manufacturing (heating/curing) issues and they don't have the original glass manufacturing details (patent issues?). I've been very ahppy with the OEM but understand the PPG (which is OEM for many US auto manf) is a bit tougher (even though they both meet DOT specs)

It is gotten more small chips/scratches, and has more distortion than my OEM glass did. It also has a logo in the center bottom of the windshield.
