Default I've been happy with my Yak

Others have been happy with their Thules. You won't go wrong with either one.

Default Also, OEM is probably more expensive (I'm too lazy to check), but it always is...

I got my Thule at Sports Rack Vehicle Outfitters...you should ask them the differences betw Thule and Yak - for example, I went with Thule for the bike rack b/c it has an easier/quicker clamping mechanism than the Yak.

Default Purchased a bunch of Yakima stuff from Agee's Bicycles online...

Great prices, free shipping, and 20% back in credit that you can apply towards other stuff.

There are other places too...do a Google search for Yakima rack or Thule rack.

Agee's Bicycles

BEST SETUP: OEM carrier bars and an aftermarket holder (Thule, etc.) ;-)

I love my Saris setup ... very sleek looking, ingenuous design, quiet at speed.

Default Yes, if you really feel the need for additional protection for the paint....

...you can purchase the 3M "clear bra" material from Griot's Garage in increments of one foot.

They sell it in 3/8", 2" or 4" widths for $1.00, $2.95 & $3.95 per foot.

With that said, I never had any issues with the feet of the Yakima rack scratching my paint. Although I was **** about only installing it on a clean roof.

PAINT SAVING, CLEAR PROTECTIVE SHIELD
