pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. He was a fine healthy baby until routine tests were performed where a catheder was used. Next day 102.5+ temps and he was hospitalized for 4 days. Once again he went in for tests 4 months later, and they infected him again.
First time it was "things happen" they are taking care of it. Second time, is unacceptable, making my child suffer like this. This bacteria can and has led to infants death so it's serious.
I need legal advice and I need it from a large legal organization that has taken on large hospitals in the past. This will not be left alone. pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria is in the top 5% of hospital derived infections.
Sorry I'm so upset, I just can't believe this.. I really can't. I have never gone after anyone in this matter, so I'm really needing some assistance from those that have dealt with legal matters. Who to call, etc.etc.

...the attitude is more or less that "infections happen" and "we can treat it" so why work so hard to try and prevent it. This was from the mouth of a former head nurse at a Houston medical center hospital. Good luck -- get a good ambulance chaser -- one with a reputation; just don't get "too greedy" on damages, because all you'll get is money, not the infection going away or knowing that it won't happen again.

This will give you an idea as to whether or not it is more of a "problem" in your medical center.
Pseudomonas is a nasty bug it really lives everywhere you can imagine. Even in bleach.
