Default Yes, the calipers need to come off, but it's only 2 bolts

It's pretty simple, but you'll need a long handle ratchet as those bolts are really torqued. You'll also need to remove the small bolt that holds the brake line on the caliper (to get to the upper caliper bolt). Also, it's easiest to leave the top bolt in loosely and then just swivel the caliper up to remove the rotor. No risk to the brake lines that way either. It's really not that bad a job. Oh, and I've found that having the DBA rotors mounted in tne opposite direction reduces vibrations from the slots.

Default PaJohn, you switched sides?

Saw a while back saying you were going to try switching sides with the DBAs. I guess it worked out. Was there a noticeable reduction in vibration?

I have had several email conversations with DBA staff regarding this problem. Since I had asked what direction the slots shoud go prior to installation, and they assured me there would be no vibration installed in there recommended direction. They are sourcing Mintex Reds for testing, and sending me a pair of their Series 4000 rotors to try.

"noticeable"...yes..but not eliminated. Still annoying when cold or wet.

The rotors are marked "left" and "right". Just switch sides.

Default Weird...cold and wet were never problems on mine...

Once they heated up and during repetative medium/hard braking like on a highway with stoplights every couple miles, then they would usually vibrate.
