I reported this in the off topic forum..
A local news station is reporting increased traffic, including troop planes. Also other nearby military bases are seeing similar activity.
A local Marine called in a request to be played for he had orders to ship out somewhere at 1:00pm EST?
Anyone else?? Can you confirm any of this, the national news isn't reporting it.

I've been reading everyone's comments about this weeks tragic events. Damn... I can't even begin to believe what has happened. In response to those who think we haven't acted quickly enough or lack the resolve to act at all... think about it for a minute. A military operation is a pretty involved deal... do you think for a minute we could just saddle up a couple of B-1's and a gaggle o F-16's and rattle a few of the caves where that butcher goat herder lives... You can bet your bypass valves that the powers at hand are putting a plan together that just might change the face of the middle east. Bush and company have been forming a coalition... bascically you're on the bus, or you're off the bus. If you're off the bus... kiss your *** goodbye. Once the plan is in place, the logistics are in place, and the players are ready to go you can bet life in the middle east will never be the same. Not just Afghanistan boys and girls... I think a lot of folks are going to pay the price for what we all witnessed last Tuesday. Make no mistake about it... we better get it right this time and don't be surprised if our nation suffers some more at the hands of these animals in coming weeks... and it won't be just higher gas prices. Strap in tight boys and girls... we may be in for a long and bumpy ride. Yeah... I could be wrong and I could just be another internet blowhard, but I work closely with some folks who have a handle on what's going on behind the scenes and they have gotten my attention...
