Thanks. I have no doubt these wheels will be "faster" than my training set, whether it be .1mph or 1mph....I don't know. I was mainly interested in thoughts on Spinergy reliability in general. I assume your Rev-Xs haven't given you any problems. Just have to decide if that extra speed on race day is "worth" it to me right now....or if I'd rather have an extra $600 in my pocket :-)
A Zipp disc?! Psshaw.....that'll be a RENN disc if/when it comes time. A disc is a disc is a disc. Gotta support the local mfr. I never knew RENN HQ is Frank's house, just around the corner from mine in Midtown.....hehe. Pretty cool.

couple weeks into ownership a rock chipped one of the rear carbon blades. Spinergy filed it down, set it back and said if it gets worse send it back. That pissed me off. The rear now has a nasty hop in it that nobody seems to care one way or the other about and the warranty has expired so I'm SOL. The wheels were faster and had asthetics but that's about it. My buddy Christian ordered a disc from Frank. It had issues from the beginning. It was eventually fixed but I don't think he kept the wheel. The team has a few for TT's and they have been great.

Yeah I think he's gotten things ironed out, as I've only read good things on the tri boards...seems to have a good reputation. There was a guy out in Cali who was racing a RENN disk when the disk separated from the rim.....he crashed obviously. The story circulated on the forum...and after investigating, Frank piped up on the message board and accepted full blame for being the builder of that particular wheel. Seems like a stand up guy.
And I'm beat, quite a large group showed up at MudIsland for a 5:30 ride out to Shelby Forest.....Watkins on the return was pretty crazy, felt like a damn time trial. Guess that's pretty much a normal roadie ride though eh?? ;-)
