new s4 owner, kill switch question
any recommendations on placing a hidden kill switch in the car? Should it be placed in line
with the starter relay or what would be best?
Picked up my 2001 s4 sunday, absolutely love it so far.

i thinkit would be kind of cool to have this...
A switch that uses the cigarette lighter as the contact. Heating element out = dead car. Would be super stealth. As for your options in the location in the circuit, i'd go with in between the starter relay. That way they would have a real hard time bypassing it unless they found your redirect.

Re: Just out of curiosity, why do you want a kill switch?
I've heard most of the thefts have been drive away thefts, not flat bed thefts. Relatively an easy an inexpensive way to try and keep someone from taking your car. Hide a switch somewhere which disables your starter relay or your fuel pump relay, just gotta hide the switch.. Most people would probably say who cares, until its their car thats gone..
