I agree, Audi should add the Nav Plus to the options lists for North American cars, it wouldn't be the deciding factor for my purchase of the car but some may actuall be interested in the feature. It would be hard to remain the status of a premium brand of automobiles if your going to limit your options. Exspecialy when all three of the top Asian car companys offer it now. Get on the boat or get left behind.

You can have a CD changer with the NAV (Trunk mounted). You make it sound like you can't play/get a CD player with the BMW NAV system.

Given the choice between a Center mounted NAV display with CD changer in trunk, or No Nav Map display with a CD player located in the head unit, Which one would you choose.

In 2000 I had a choice. 330i or S4. I just had a 1.8T. The S4's bodystyle is essentially the same.

S4's pros:
Quattro
Performance
cons:
Crappy NAV
Body style getting a little long in the tooth.

330i Pros:
Current bodystyle
decent performance
"Real NAV system"
cons:
It is not an Audi!

The Audi's better performance wasn't worth
1) Putting up with a 5 year old bodystyle
2) Putting up with Audi's teeny NAV system.

Believe it or not, The NAV system can weigh in on the final decision. It is a legitimate gripe to knock Audi's NAV.

nothing. it just sucks that in the BMWs and MBs, you can't have the nice NAV and in-dash CD player.
