this is my take on this
one would get a chip for only 1 reason - to make the s4 faster than it is stock. (not to be smoother, nor to make the car more reliable) .. we all know that the fastest one is GIAC so imo that leaves it as "the best chip" (serving it's purpose better than all the others).

calm down Racer X...that is a common question and that is a funny answer.
the best chip for you might not be the best for someone else. Depends want you are looking for? do you want something that higher performance but at a cost of certain un-reliablity? or just something that will give very good performance but will very reliable to your engine not blow your turbo's. It takes some time to find out what your wants and needs are going to be.
