Default Okay , that was a bit off base

Dude I recently had all 3 chips and posted dyno results. Straight scoop everytime! I call them as I see them but I'm not clouded in any way, which you sir seem to lean a bit more towards the GIAC camp. Your comment is totally inaccurate. I am very anti-hype, but the EMCS is one of the nicest features that is offered in any chip. APR self programmer is another feature. GIAC, AMS, Neuspeed, MTM don't have these and I doubt they ever will. GIAC IBE sounds like a neat device once it comes out, however at this time, no one touches the features of APR's EMCS, period!.. And I sir have receipts for the top 3 discussed chips on this board and have posted un molested dyno sheets for each one. What have you done for the group?

No hype here..

Default Oh, also, does the v3.3 firmware have any other updates?

Is there any reason for folks to upgrade the EMCS firmware from 3.2 to 3.3 if they don't get auto-theft? Thanks.

Nope, not yet. Waiting for a rebuild on the tranny. Don't worry, I know I promised you a ride.

There are some very small changes, and yes, the blinks are very discernable now.

Default sorry man, but put it together...

from my point of view...
first you post that you already had the
code... before most others...
and then you're asking
where my comment came from...
and my "comment" was an honest
opinion from using both IBE as well as emcs.

I'll use whatever i feel is best for my car.
it is that simple.

what i've added to the group?
you don't know me, if you did you wouldn't
be asking that question...
I have done more than my share.
sounds like you have too.

lean towards the GIAC camp?
not really...
when i have a problem, i don't hide it.
look back to my responses to todd/awe --
i don't hide my experiences, good or bad... and
i won't, cause i don't get paid to...

i'm paying full price for my stuff like most people here...
and i'm not getting any special treatment either.
so when a post about a good or bad experience,
YMMV - but i put it out there.

take a look at nycmetro.audiworld.com --
it takes time and money to setup events where
enthusiasts get to know each other and share
experiences --- and talk about their tuner/product
experinces --- test and try out mods firsthand ---
or just enjoy meeting others with the same hobby.

I simply disagree with you... and i have IBE version I
I also tried out emcs before i ordered my IBE box
we CAN agree to disagree.

once you have tried IBE, you may change your
mind, or you may not... doesn't really matter to me.
i simply like IBE.

Default No problem! Apparently Brett's abundantly clear post where he states you

must have APR's EMCS was not clear enough for you, so you had to ask the expert general public on this forum instead just reading and comprehending the post of one of the owners of the company that developed the product.

We know comprehension has been an issue in the past. Car vs truck, space frame technology's applications, mixing up an S4 Avant for an A8 or A2, ect.

You asked an question that was very clearly answered in the original post and I just reiterated his post and answered your question in even more simple words, politely.

I replied politely, especially considering the question asked. Like the old saying goes, "If you ask a stupid question......"

Default but...

if i knew the guy personally, i wouldn't have
been bashing him in the first place...
and then it wouldn't be any fun anymore.
=)

we're adults... well, sortof.
i made my apology, i'm sure he's over it.
