Default Good job. In response to your experience with the chamois, you're supposed to rinse it first and use

it wet. Duh. :-)

Obviously it's going to leave particles if you're using it dry and it's brand new out of the box.

I also have the microfiber towels from Costco. They work well, though the snobs on this forum will flame you for not using $20 microfiber towels.

Default Looks nice, is claybaring the car a big process, or is it similar to wax?

I need to do it sometime, but I don't want to screw it up.

Default maybe I need a tech writeup for chamois:(

That tells you how much car cleaning I've done myself I'll give it a proper try the next time. If I had money for high roller $20 towels I wouldn't have a membership to costco.
thanks

Default it removes small particles you can't see

I've waxed other cars without doing the claybar and could feel the grit particles under the new layer of wax. I wash the car, claybar, wash it again, and then apply the wax.

Thanks, I think I'll try it next weekend, give the car a needed detail.
