NJ Gang Busted.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of the 19 cars were Audi's.
I had always wondered if it was some kind of gang-initiation thing when my ///S4 got stolen.

That's good, but...
they have put a dent in one out of three major ones. Latin Kings were usually in the Paterson area, but Bloods and Crips are in Newark, E. Orange, Irvington, Camden, and Jersey City.
I always suspected that the recent rise in the S4 theft was gang related. Mostly because it seemed that the thefts were done by minors.
The Latin Kings we always here, but recently the numbers of Bloods and Crips has grown and to compete with each other they have a monthly quota of new recruits.
If you're a kid in one of the towns above it is very dificult not to be sucked in.
Sad, but glad they're trying to do something.

Fairenough, my mother was a teacher in the NYC school system (now retired)
and the gang initiation at least with the Latin Kings was never anything as mundane as car theft. It usually involved physical harm (including rape)being done to someone whether random or not.
