You guys might want to say that "weight" is an important factor...
b/c I have 20lb. Volk 19's that will perform as good or better than 18's any day of the week. Now get a light-weight 18" wheel and it'd be a different story.

actually they way the weight is distributed also makes a difference...
19s have weight more spread out to the edge and not as concentrated to the center when compared to smaller wheels. This creates a greater moment of inertia which takes more effort to get it moving. So even if the 2 set of wheels weight the same, the ones with smaller diameter would still yield performance, even though the difference is probably minimal.
