when accelerating or braking or anything that causes some form of shift in the suspension (turning into a driveway on a hill where one wheel goes up before the other). When braking I can feel some form of pulse through the brake pedal. I want to say it almost sounds like a creaky floor in an older house but more metallic. Took it in and the diagnosis I was given was cupped tires and grooved rotors which I feel is BS. They claimed they inspected everything in the suspension and it all looked good, anything I should have them look at? I thought there was a control arm noise issue with the B5. I can't replicate the noise by pushing down on either side of the car and I am guessing they couldn't recreate the exact sound I am hearing. I'll probably be buying a tape recorder so I can record the noise and let them listen but it would help too if I could direct them to what to look for. Under audi assured so I'd prefer to get the repairs done under warranty.
