Default Noob tire question. Pirelli PNero Zero M+S, what is a good tire pressure for winter?

I filled them to 44psi while it was 47 degrees F out (drove about 2 miles to the gas station so they were still cold). They are 51psi max. You think I should go more or less?

My previous car was a V8 explorer so this is my first winter with high performance tires.

I would lower the pressure. 44 is too high. Go with the recommended pressure 34/ 36

2nd. 44 way to high. I usually run 36-38 psi front, with rears 2lbs lower on mine.

Default 44 is what you would probably run, when hot at the track

definitely not when cold.

Try 36/34 or 38/36, or fiddle with it a bit in that range.
