Default Is it normal for my S to be so sluggish in 85F and high humidity?

I have 850 miles on the car and it feels sluggish. I am thinking it is just the weather and it will improve once the humidity and temperature drop. Could I have a hose leak? I really need an MTM chip now.<p>2001 Santorin/Onyx

Default Mine feels the same way. This past weekend it was 85 degrees and very high humidity, the car felt

sluggish especially above 4500 RPMs. When temperature was around 70 degrees and low humidity, it felt fine.

Default Cold air good, warm air bad. Cold air is less dense.

LESS POWER!

Default It is a combination of hot air (less dense for turbos) and A/C

Unfortunately, the Air Conditioning drains HP output from the Engine. A compressor is hungry, especially when you got that auto-climate set at about 68 degrees and it is about 90 degrees outside. Don't fret though, it happened on the old 70's muscle cars when they came with the A/C.
They just weren't as fast as with the A/C off.

Default It's normal, especially for turbo/supercharged cars.

SAE Standard J1349 lays out the procedures for correcting observed power figures to "Standard Day" meteorological conditions, and it stipulates a different formula for blown cars. The net of it is that the SAE expects more power loss for blown cars as temperatures rise.
