Not a great story, but sort of a funny story from the other night.

I was driving home at night on Niles Canyon Road which is a twisty two laner through an unihabited area. I was stuck behind traffic most of the way so I couldn't have any fun. I gave the cars in front of me two or three car lengths since they were stacked up about four back and I wasn't going to do any passing. Besides they were moving along at the speed limit and my wife and mother-in-law were in the car.
Well, a SUV catches up to me from behind and plants itself about 10 feet off my rear bumper. Not really tail gating, but close enough to be annoying considering that we weren't going to be going any faster with the traffic in front of me. I ignored him, but towards the end of the road, all the traffic in front of me took a right at a stop sign and I went left. It's a straight away up a hill after the stop light so I decide to take it up to about 70mph and let off to go back down to 45mph. I was hoping that this would put sufficient space between me and the SUV until I reached the turnoff to the freeway onramp in just a bit.
Well, here comes the SUV again, speeding up to plant it self a few feet behind me again. At this point, I'm at the 90-degree right turn which is soon followed by a 90-degree left which is the onramp onto the freeway. I figure I'll take both turns at speed and then open it up on the onramp and lose the SUV once and for all.
So I take the turn hard when I notice (out of the corner of my eye) in the rearview mirror, my mother-in-law go flying from the right-rear passenger seat all the way to the left side of the car. She pretty much takes a face plant into the left-rear seat and hits her head on the left-hand rear door. This sorta startled me so I didn't take the second 90-degree that hard, but I opened it up enough on the onramp to lose the SUV for good.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
My only comment while stifling my laughter: "Um, sorry mom. But it's a good idea to wear the seatbelt when I'm driving."
