Default NOT GUILTY!!! Got to love a technicality

Went to court today for a speeding ticket. 96mph in a 65mph zone. My lawyer wanted to plead the ticket down but I told him to fight it all or nothing. When we entered the court room the officer said I should be lucky with the ticket as he should have arested me for reckless driving.

After the officer testified My lawyer made several arguements as to why I should be found not guilty. One was the officer did not identify me as the driver of the vehicle in his testimony. The other big arguement was I was cited for a municipal violation on a state road. The muni code says the speed limit can not exceed 55mph however the posted limit was 65mph. The judge found me not guilty due to the officer not identifing me as the driver of the car.

Several important lessons I learned:
1)Don't say anything to the officer when he pulls you over. Anything you say will be used against you!
2)Fight the ticket. To many technicalities/oportunities to get off.
3)Hire a lawyer. They should be more observant of the technicalities to get you off. Plus you wont have to testify and possibly say something you shouldn't

$250 for lawyer VS 6pts/$390fine and insurance implications

Look on officers face... PRICELESS!

Default You don't want him. You want a traffic ticket lawyer...

...they're much cheaper, and they know how to win traffic ticket cases because that is almost all that they do.
