Default Some more info... (photo of the ticket)

My first ticket I got in July for 49/30 which was knocked down to a seatbelt for 2 pts. This was on Clinton Rd, in Garden City LI.

The second ticket was a 51/30, going down a steep hill, on Glen Cove Rd, near the Glen Cove Fire dept. This ticket is still pending and I have not heard anything about it. I got this ticket around the beginning of September.

I moved to my new house October 22nd. I haven't gotten around to changing my address on my License, Registration, Insurance. And since then, I have not gotten any notifications, letters, or anything regarding this Glen Cove Ticket. I gave the ticket to my attorney, and she said that she would take care of it. Even she hasn't gotten any updates regarding the violation.

So that ticket is still pending, yet I haven't heard anything about it.

The address on the ticket is old.

Where is the "H" supposed to be? Before the #'s at the top?

I've been going to St. Johns this past week to study for my final exams, and i've been seeing cops pulling people over on the CIP/Grand Central, so i've been mindful of the fact. I know I was not going 75mph, 65 yes. But 75 is ridiculous.

"I clocked you at 75mph." My black car, in the extreme left lane, you happened to clock, at 10:45PM, with other traffic going an avg of the same speed.

Sun goes down at 4:30 these days... by 10:45, its pretty f*ckin dark outside. Add the to the fact that my car is black, with tinted windows.

I'm sorry, but if this is not the biggest load of b.s. i've ever seen, then I'd like to see what is.

Other people get warnings, but God forbid you're Muslim, because if you are, you should definitely get a ticket. Profiling *******s.

Default I don't see any H's anywhere on the ticket.

So you mean to say that if I write in to get a supporting dep and it doesn't reach me in 15 days from a reasonable time after its mailed (1 day is reasonable enough for me), then the ticket should be dismissed?

How often does that happen?

I was at the end of the cross island (linden blvd). Thats right before the Southern State Pkwy, so i'm pretty sure this is out of NYC limits.

any other advice?

Default Math: 65>50.

As you admitted such, maybe the officer was not to far off after all.

Go to court, and pray the officer does not show up.

Default Go to court!! Maybe you can plea guilty to a lesser charge that would just be a small

fine and no points, like a seatbelt charge!

Damn tickets in NY sure are cheap. 25 over would cost you over $200 in VT...I always hated NY cops.

Default Looks like NYPD and Queens county. It doesnt look like a highway cop.

Adjourn the ticket at least once he may not show. Otherwise get a traffic lawyer. The H would be where it says squad.

Default Overpayment is an urban legend.

I can tell you from direct experience that it does not work. It's a long story, but I once overpaid (not trying to follow the urban legend advice), and it bounced back to me unprocessed. They could at least have had the decency to process the paperwork and issue a refund for the difference, right? Of course not, the shmucks.
