Ended up removing my diverter valves to take a 'look-see' since it has been about six months when it was last installed. Figured I might as well clean them before installing them back again.

Question:

1) Can I use regular Mobil-1 0w40 to grease them up before installing or should I try to use the redish grease in the second picture to lube the sucker up?

sorry if im kind of changing the subject but i just bought an s4 two months ago and i NEED to get diverter valves. i wanna get the hyperboost hx.

do you guys have any idea if the "v6 biturbo" engine cover will fit if i put the hx valves on? and how often am i supposed service these valves? what do you do when you service them, is it just a matter of regreasing them, would i have to replace the spring?

i know these are alot of question but im new to all this and i want to be sure of everything b4 i buy any parts for this car. thanks in advance any replies will be very appreciated.

normal service is just to clean and relube maybe once a year.
